9th Annual SCOCO Gala Honors Leaders in Sustainability, Green Building

Sustainable Contra Costa (SCOCO) presents the Leadership in Sustainability and Green Building Awards Gala, from 6 to 9 p.m., September 20, at the Hilton Concord. This fun and inspiring event honors local individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding commitment and leadership in making Contra Costa communities healthy, beautiful, clean and resilient for years to come.

The night begins with a reception on the Hilton Concord’s patio where guests will enjoy food, wine and beer from local, sustainable partners, live music, and a silent auction featuring local goods and services. The reception is followed by dessert and the presentation of awards in the grand ballroom. The gala is also the annual fundraiser for SCOCO.

Leadership in Sustainability Award categories include Food System Innovation, Sustainable Resource Management, Sustainable Communities, Sustainable Economics, and the youth Rising Star Award. SCOCO Green Building Award Categories include Energy Conservation & Efficiency, Water Conservation & Efficiency, and Sustainable Materials & Healthy Environment.
